Cupola-shape rifle position
Two similar firing positions were built in western front in Espoo Myllykallio (object XXXVI:1) probably in the meant of testing new construction. Positions were built to ellipse shape and the concrete roof is cupola-shape. There are embrasures to three directions. It was possible to shooting flank rifle fire to the front of the trenches. Inner floor area is two square meters. These position called also D-type.
There was a meaning to built third position too but works stopped and there was only the base of the post without roof. When new roads were built later, one of the positions would had been destroyed. National Bureau of Antiques gave a permission to move the concrete roof onto unfinished position.
According to archive sources, there has been also one D-type position still in the 1970'ies. It was located in the eastern front in Malmi. This object XI:3 was destroyed under the new railroads and there is nothing left anymore.
