Open positions
Open U-shaped positios were found mostly from northern and western land fronts. Common floor shape is quadrangular where the fron wall is curved. Area is about four square meters and depth 0,5 - 0,7 meters. Positions were made using stones or concrete. There is any embrasure but one position has ammunition recess. In some cases there are stairs to position from the bottom of trench.
There is no information about the use of these positions. It has been estimate that they were made for small caliber cannons, for small mortars or for searchlight posts.
