of Soviet workers.
Wladimir Ilyich Lenin, 1920 by Pavel Zhukov (1870-1942)
...In 1920 Zhukov was transferred to Moscow, to photograph leading
political and social figures, as well as important army leaders. The
series of over fifty portraits he produced then are perhaps his
greatest historical contribution and demonstrate his exceptional
ability as a portrait photographer.It was at this time, too, that he
produced the portrait of Lenin which ranks among the best known of
russian photographs.

(1908-1980) ...he was one of the younger generation of Soviet
photographic reporters... ...His war photographs were a significant
contribution to the heritage of Soviet press photography.
